Blue Ridge Brilliance

Driving through the mountains of NC triggers so much inspiration for me.  On a recent trip to Boone and West Jefferson I toured some of the scenic roads, absorbing the sites.  My favorite time to do this is between 4pm and sunset - the golden hour.  The sun was just low enough on this particular day to give the billowy clouds lots of pink, purple and peach colors to complement the greens of the mountainous terrain.
