I feel a compelling urge to express my awe and appreciation of nature and I don’t express myself well verbally or in writing.  Therefore, I paint.  I have an affinity for painting animals.  However, I enjoy a diverse range of subject matter including portraits and landscapes.  I feel like artists have a special gift of seeing and if my paintings can make visible what might perhaps never be noticed, than I have succeeded as an artist.
